Government

Many federal government agencies are involved in efforts to move the use of health care information technology forward. The number of involved services and agencies has expanded rapidly in the last few years as work proceeds to implement the federal government vision of widespread adoption of interoperable electronic health records (EHRs) by 2014. Federal resources now available to nurses practicing in informatics focus on topics ranging from federal health policy to telehealth to bioterrorism.
